August Recap

I promised to update again on the 1st. I'm a little late - it's 8am on the 2nd right now - but I'm giving myself a pass as I only got in from work a few hours ago.

It's been a busy month with not much to visibly show for it. I've stuck to my 500 words a day on Golem, and I started on a Loot The Room post. In writing that post I realised there was scope for something bigger than an update for the site, so I set about writing a mini D&D sourcebook. I'm going to publish it on DM's Guild, and was hoping to do it earlier in the month. Unfortunately producing the art for it set me back, but it's well underway and should be finished soon.

One of my jobs for today is to put together a sample post from one of the chapters for Loot The Room. Yes, it's later than I promised, but these are baby steps. We'll get there.

The main thing that happened this month, though, is that I decided to go back to university to do my Masters. I'll be beginning that later this month. We'll see how that affects things as far as the writing goes - obviously studying will have to take a front seat - but I'm slowly getting my discipline and passion back, and that's the important thing.

Once the DM's Guild book is finished I need to settle on a project for this month (as well as the 500 words a day on Golem). I have a few things in the pipeline, but I'll post another update when I settle on something.

This morning's project was to redesign this site. I think I'm finished now. I hope you like it.

Until next time.
