I don't know if I've mentioned this here, but come September I'm quitting my job and going back to university full time. It's pretty daunting now that the time between now and then is getting less and less, and I'm starting to realise exactly how tight money is going to be when I go back as I won't get a student loan. I'm in the process of trying to figure out exactly what I can live without and where I can make savings.
I'm dropping my phone tariff down from £35 a month to £10 a month. That's an easy one. The more difficult decision to make is about Spotify. I bloody love Spotify, and while I don't use the mobile app or offline playlists as often as I should considering how much I'm paying for them, I do get some use out of them.
I've just downgraded from Premium to Unlimited. I'm going to miss having that little app on my phone, but tha extra £5 a month on top of the savings from my phone contract adds up to over a month's rent extra in my bank account over the course of the year. I can't really afford to say no to that.
But still...goodbye, Spotify Mobile. It's been fun.
